What’s on at Trentham this Summer

Trentham is gearing up for another exciting year with a fantastic summer programme of activities and events, including Summer Concerts, yoga sessions, wildlife shows and theatre performances. Not forgetting an exciting weekend of world-class music at Trentham Live 2023, with headliners including McFly, Chase & Status, Kaiser Chiefs, and Olly Murs.

Located in the heart of Staffordshire, Trentham is a magnificent 725-acre estate with something to offer for the whole family.  As one of the UK’s top leisure destinations attracting 4million visitors per year, Trentham offers a diverse day out for all ages. Within the grounds there is a shopping village, beautiful Italian gardens, historic woodland, mile-long lake, monkey forest adventure and much more.

Trentham Summer Fun

Trentham Summer Concerts

Taking place on Fridays and Saturdays from 7 July to 5 August, Trentham’s Summer Concerts offer a chance to party by the lakeside and enjoy live outdoor music against a stunning backdrop.

The concerts also offer a safe way for people to get back into enjoying live music with the added bonus of being able to enjoy a picnic and make memories with the whole family. Tickets start at £19 plus booking fees.

Trentham Wildlife Activities

Wildlife themed activities are taking place on select Wednesdays, throughtout July and August.

Wildlife Wednesdays (taking place on 26 July, 2 August and 23 August) include a wildlife show and animal meet-and-greet from 10am to 3:30pm. Guests can head down to the Shopping Village and meet some furry friends and creepy crawlies courtesy of ZooLab! Dinosaurs will also be running wild in the Shopping Village on 30 August.

Visitors can choose to make a day of it and join a wildlife cruise in the Gardens and find out about Trentham’s newest residents, the family of Eurasian Beavers. Beaver activity packs are available for £4 from the visitor centre and come with pencil packs to complete the rubbing plates dotted around the lakeside walk. Trentham Thrilling Thursdays

Starting on 17 July, taking place every Thursday until 31 August, Trentham will be hosting a variety of adventure and sporting activities. From 8am to 8pm on 27 July, specialist running and cycle store PAU Trentham will host a charity bike ride in the Shopping Village, offering participants a chance to support a worthy cause whilst enjoying a fulfilling biking experience. Other weeks will see climbing walls and inflatable archery. Activities are £5 per person and redeemable against a day ticket to the Gardens. Members can take part for £3 per person.

Additionally, Time4Sport will provide a summer holiday stay and play programme of sporting activities in the Gardens from 8:30am to 3:30pm. Time4Sport is a provider of physical education, physical activity, sport, health, and wellbeing services. To reserve a slot, please visit their website. Charges apply for this activity.

Trentham Park Run

Every Saturday from 9am, Trentham is offering a free, fun, and friendly weekly 5k community event for participants of all standards. It’s not a race against other runners but rather a timed run, and it can really be whatever you want it to be, whether that’s for fun or as part of a training plan. Walk, jog, or run – it’s up to you! Book your tickets here.

Saturday Sounds

Every Saturday, in association with A-Major music store in the Shopping Village, local musicians will be in the spotlight performing to the leisure crowds. Anyone interested in performing in one of the busking slots should get in touch at the store to be added to the gig list.

Trentham Gardens Yoga sessions

Every Sunday

From 9am to 9:45am and 10am to 10:45am every Sunday morning, Trentham is offering yoga sessions in the beautiful Gardens. Additionally, from 10am to 4pm, a wellness pop-up information stall will be available in the shopping village. Tickets for yoga are £10 per person and must be booked online by visiting www.trentham.co.uk.

Fairy Quest

This summer, embark on the enchanting Trentham Fairy Quest and discover all 21 fairies skillfully crafted by the talented Robin Wight of FantasyWire Ltd, hidden in Trentham’s gardens. Adding to the magic, Trentham is offering their guests the chance to win a captivating Dandelion sculpture from the FantasyWire collection worth over £1,000. To participate in the summer Trentham Fairy Competition, simply take a photo of yourself or your family with the fairies and share it with Trentham on its competition pages.

Twelfth Night

6 August

Performed by Dukes Theatre Company, visitors can experience this romantic comedy performance in a way they never have before! Set within the historic Italian Gardens, the specially designed travelling set will be in the foreground of the Church Flats. Visitors can book tickets for this performance here.

Trentham Live 2023

16 to 20 August

Five amazing shows, one amazing setting! A weekend of incredible music returns for its third year at Trentham’s famous gardens and is set to be bigger and better than ever.

Headlining this year’s event is McFly, joined by The Hoosiers on Wednesday. Feeder will be performing on Thursday, accompanied by Jake Bugg and The Feeling. On Friday, Chase & Status will take the stage, joined by Sigma and Luude. Saturday will feature Kaiser Chiefs, along with Razorlight. Lastly, on Sunday, Olly Murs will be supported by Natalie Imbruglia. Make sure to arrive early to enjoy the late summer gardens at their best and immerse yourself in an evening of unforgettable live music.

Plus, there’s much more to come later in the year, including a Classic & Retro Car Show and Oktoberfest.

Visitors to Trentham can benefit from 15% discount at the Monkey Forest and 10% at Treetops Adventure when they visit on the same day – or vice versa, they simply need to show their day tickets on entry to claim the discount on the same day.
