Line-up update for The Human League at Trentham Live!
Due to circumstances out of Trentham’s control, Haircut 100 will no longer be supporting The Human League at Trentham Live on Sunday 23 August.
Trentham Live 2026 are delighted to announce they are replacing them with not one, but 2 amazing acts! Synth-pop legends Blancmange and Scottish new wave favourites Altered Images will now be joining the bill for this year’s musical spectacular!
Get ready for an unforgettable night featuring hits including Living on the Ceiling from Blancmange, and the chart-topping sounds of Altered Images, including Don’t Talk to Me About Love.
This year’s 4-day music event featuring The Fratellis, Madness, Five along with The Human League takes place from Thursday 20 August through to Sunday 23 August 2026 in a stunning unique setting!
Altered Images
Altered Images originated in Glasgow and were part of the 1980s Scottish New Wave/post-punk scene. Still led by singer Clare Grogan, the band performs to enthusiastic crowds world-wide to this day! Famous for their huge hits ‘Happy Birthday’ and ‘Don’t Talk To Me About Love’.

Blancmange
Neil Arthur’s Blancmange was soon among the vanguard of synth pop artists sweeping the 80s after the release of their first album, Happy Families. Formed by Arthur on vocals and guitar and Stephen Luscombe on keys in the late 70s, their 1982 debut included the hits ‘Living on the Ceiling’ and ‘Waves’.
Their experimental second studio album, Mange Tout, followed two years later, which featured popular tracks such as ‘Don’t Tell Me’, ‘Blind Vision’ and a cover of ABBA’s ‘The Day Before You Came’, which famously charted higher than the original. Third LP, Believe You Me, was released in 1995, which Smash Hits called “a selection of songs so varied yet simple that they make the whole thing seem practically effortless.”
