Outdoor Adventures
From climbing and sliding in the Adventure Playground – now with a brand-new outdoor soft play area – to getting lost in the Hide and Speak Maze with its talking pipes and bug-filled meadows, there’s plenty to keep young explorers active and engaged.

Trentham Lake Boat Cruise
Other Trentham experiences on offer include a scenic cruise on Trentham’s tranquil lake aboard the Miss Elizabeth, an all-electric catamaran, or the Trentham Fern miniature train for a charming ride along the water’s edge.
Lake Cruises are an additional £3 per person. Usual gardens admission applies.
Barefoot Walk – reimagined for 2025!
Step, stomp, tiptoe, and hop along the trail, where a variety of textured surfaces will tickle your toes and delight the whole family.

Join Time4Sport Trentham Gardens adventure kids’ club this may half term! Time4Sport holiday camps offer a wide variety of sports and activities, sure to keep your children not only entertained but also learning lots as well.

Explore big names and local finds
With over 75 stores, restaurants, cafés, and eateries in Trentham Shopping Village – including the newly opened Denby Pottery store, the ever-popular Blue Diamond Garden Centre, and many shops housing locally produced and sourced products – there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Celebrate all things Stoke in this series of free events
Take part in hands-on activities led by emergency services and local community groups. Highlights include:
Monday 26 May: Neil Walker (StokieLEGO) hosts free LEGO play sessions and discusses the mental-health benefits of LEGO therapy; Staffordshire Fire & Rescue bring their fire engines.
Tuesday 27 May: Chloe Brain (Slow Runner) joins the “100-mile challenge”; Stoke City mascot Pottermus appears from 11:00–13:00.
All three days:
- Walton Priory Middle School pupils showcase their “100 Miles in May” fundraising challenge (running, hopping, cartwheeling).
- The AA and National Highways run free activities.
- Kelvin the Potbank invites you to sign the giant potbank board and snap a photo.
