Trentham is home to many sculptures and artwork including our famous Fairies and intriguing Wood Carvings around Trentham Lake.
Everyone knows that Fairies live at the bottom of gardens and Trentham Gardens is no different. Keep your eyes peeled as your walk around our beautiful mile-long lake, and through the woodland, maze and gardens where the Fairies at Trentham live.
For many years, visitors to the Estate have become enchanted by the magic of our fairies – take a walk around our beautiful mile-long lake, through the woodland and across the gardens to find the fairies at Trentham. Titania, ‘Queen of the Fairies’ points the way from the Shopping Village, towards her fairy friends. Each fairy is different, some are bold, others cheeky, shy and daring – can you find them all?
Inspired by an inexplicable real-life encounter, the fairies are painstakingly created from galvanised and stainless steel wire, by local artist Robin Wight. His daughter Amy Wight, created the new giant dandelions which are located between the annual meadow, and the lake. You can view more of their work on their website.
Trentham FairiesWe have fairy wishes and greetings cards available to purchase from our Visitor Centre.
Follow the lakeside walk all the way around Capability Brown’s mile-long Trentham Lake and you will spot our wood carvings along the way.
