Important Event Information - Emergency Services Community Day

We’re looking forward to welcoming you to the Emergency Services Community Day with Dougie Mac this Saturday (18 May). We want you to have a fantastic day out celebrating Trentham’s 20th Anniversary, so here’s some information to help you get the most out of your visit.

Tickets And Entry

  • Your ticket is valid for entry at any time between 10am and 5pm.
  • Last entry is permitted at 4pm and the Community Day ends at 5pm.
  • Expect a busy period at 10am; consider arriving later.
  • Download or print your tickets so they are ready for inspection as you arrive at the Gardens Entrance.
  • Follow the signage to join one of the 4 queues for pre-purchased tickets.
  • Please note that your event ticket includes evening access to the gardens until 8pm. The special event finishes at 5pm, but the gardens will stay open for everyone to enjoy until 8pm with last entry at 7pm.
  • Tickets are sold out. No further tickets will be available on the day.
  • Entry will be permitted until 4pm.
  • Please do not arrive at the gardens more than 10 minutes before opening as you may be waiting some time in a queue.

  • North entrance car park will be busy. If you live locally, please consider walking to the site.
  • Use the south entrance car park at The Monkey Forest and arrive at the event via the south gardens entrance.
  • You’ll arrive at the south jetty of the lake, so can either hop aboard a Miss Elizabeth Boat Cruise to the north jetty, or follow the lakeside path west side for the main event field or south side to meet the wildlife team. Allow 40 minutes to walk, with plenty of stop-off points around the lake to rest and enjoy the view along the way.
  • Be aware that delays to enter and exit car parks at peak times are likely.

Event Details

  • The event includes a rolling programme of live performances throughout the day.
  • Expect to spend around 3 hours enjoying the event.
  • The gardens remain open until 8pm for evening strolls.

Facilities and Amenities

  • Please be prepared for large bags to be searched on arrival for the safety of all visitors. There is no storage on site for bags.
  • There are plenty of food and drink options available ranging from light bites to street food. The catering, stalls, and rides will all be card only, however, we do recommend you bring cash in case of technical issues.
  • Dogs are welcome at the Emergency Services Community Day. However, we do ask that you have your furry friends on a non-retractable short lead at all times to avoid trips.

Additional Information

  • Dress for the weather and outdoor clothing for this late spring event is recommended. You might even need a little sun cream as the weather is looking good with lots of sunny spells. Footwear such as trainers or boots is ideal for the event field and grassed areas.
  • The Emergency Services Community Day will still go ahead in inclement weather.
  • Trentham Monkey Forest is open during the day (10am – 5pm with last entry at 4pm) but please remember this is a separate paid-for attraction and tickets should be booked in advance.
  • There is a 10% discount at the Trentham Gift Shop located at the Visitor Centre on this day only (exclusions apply). Please speak to a member of the team for details.
  • In the unlikely event that the Emergency Services Community Day is cancelled unexpectedly, you will be informed of the cancellation via email and on our social media channels. You will also find the latest information on our website.
