Shaun the Sheep is back at Trentham with Find the Flock Trail

Shaun the Sheep and his flock have arrived at Trentham Gardens, with 12 supersized sculptures taking over the gardens this autumn as part of the Find the Flock trail.

In celebration of Aardman’s new Shaun the Sheep movie, The Beast of Mossy Bottom, Trentham is welcoming back Find the Flock, a vibrant outdoor art trail bringing together art, nature and family fun.

Running from Friday 18 September to Sunday 1 November, the family-friendly trail invites visitors to explore Trentham Gardens while discovering a flock of uniquely designed Shaun the Sheep sculptures along the way.

The trail is also running throughout Trentham’s annual Halloween Half Term and Halloween Festival, adding even more family fun to one of the most exciting times of the year at the estate. Visitors can combine their search for Shaun with Trentham’s seasonal Halloween activities and celebrations, making it an ideal autumn day out for families.

Visitors can begin their Find the Flock adventure at the Trentham Visitor Centre, where free activity packs are available to add an interactive element to the experience.

Created in collaboration with Wild in Art and Aardman, the creators of Shaun the Sheep, each impressive 160cm-tall sculpture has been individually hand-painted by local and regional artists. The sculptures showcase a diverse array of bright colours, bold patterns and creative designs.

The return of Find the Flock comes during a landmark year for Aardman, which celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2026, marking five decades of creating much-loved characters and stories enjoyed by audiences around the world.

Kerrie Pope, Head of Events and Marketing at Trentham, said:

“We’re thrilled to have Find the Flock back at Trentham Gardens this autumn, particularly in such a special year as Aardman celebrates its 50th anniversary. With Shaun’s new big-screen adventure, The Beast of Mossy Bottom, in cinemas, it’s the perfect opportunity for visitors to enjoy all things Shaun alongside our seasonal Halloween theming and activities, including our annual Halloween Half Term and Halloween Festival.

“It’s fantastic to see the sculptures now around the gardens, bringing art and nature together to create a fun and interactive experience for families, art lovers and visitors of all ages. We hope everyone enjoys discovering the flock and seeing the incredible designs throughout our stunning gardens.”

The Find the Flock trail is included with standard admission to Trentham Gardens and is free for Trentham members. Visitors can enjoy the trail during regular garden opening hours throughout the event.
