Busted announced as the first headline act for Trentham Live on Sunday 18 August!
Trentham Live are thrilled to announce the first of the headline acts for their 2024 music spectacular. Next year, the 4-day music event promises to be bigger and better than ever before. Trentham Live 2024 will take place from Thursday 15 August through to Sunday 18 August 2024. Four amazing shows across 4-days in one unique setting!
Sunday 18 August 2024 will see the legendary pop band Busted headline the stage set against a backdrop of the stunning, beautiful Trentham Estate. With their career spanning over two decades and countless chart-topping hits, Busted’s performance promises to be a night of unforgettable music and entertainment which will finish off Trentham Live in style.
Having just celebrated their 20th Anniversary Tour in September & October 2023, the original much-loved trio – James Bourne, Charlie Simpson and Matt Willis – played their hits and fan-favourites to a combined audience of 200,000 people over the course of 26 shows.
Busted’s many successes spread far beyond the singles charts. Three of their four studio albums also peaked at #2, with 4.5 million sales leading to eight Platinum certifications as well as a total of 25 weeks in the Top 10 and two 5x Platinum selling albums. They have won two BRIT Awards – Best Pop Act and Best British Breakthrough – while multiple sold-out arena tours have seen them sell more than 2 million tickets.
Busted’s 20th anniversary tour follows Charlie Simpson’s recent triumph as the winner of 2023’s ’The Masked Singer’, adding to his other projects which have included four solo albums and four albums with the rock band Fightstar. James Bourne is a renowned songwriter, with credits including McFly, The Jonas Brothers, 5 Seconds of Summer and The Vamps, as well as his band Son of Dork and two recent solo albums ‘Safe Journey Home’ (2020) and ‘Sugar Beach’ (2022). After releasing his debut solo album, Matt Willis famously won ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here’ leading to a successful television career as well as acting roles which have included the recent West End hit ‘2:22 A Ghost Story’.
Trentham Live has established itself as a Summer event on the UK festival calendar, drawing music enthusiasts from far and wide, promising an unforgettable weekend for music lovers of all ages.
