Anticipation builds for Trentham’s FREE Christmas Light Switch-On  

Two live music stages, two Makers Markets and scores of performers set to bring Trentham Shopping Village to life. Event to showcase talent from across the community with solo artists, brass bands and choirs.

As the countdown to the festive season begins, excitement is mounting for the upcoming Christmas Light Switch-On event at Trentham Shopping Village on Thursday, 16th November. The FREE event promises a magical evening for families, brimming with festive entertainment, live music, and unique shopping experiences. 

Alastair Budd, Senior Director of Trentham, said: “We can’t wait to kick off the Christmas celebrations at Trentham with this free annual event. We’re trying a new approach this year to create a bigger, better experience, offering an even more vibrant and immersive festive celebration. With two stages, scores of performers in the Shopping Village, we’re encouraging visitors to explore the whole of the site to see what’s on offer.” 

The event will showcase dual live music stages, Christmas Makers Markets arriving earlier in the day at 2pm, and a plethora of pop-up festive food and drink options. Visitors can also expect fairground rides, and performances throughout the village, including appearances from Father Christmas and local brass bands, among many others. 

Kerrie Pope, Head of Events at Trentham, commented: “Our focus has been on crafting an event where every element delights and surprises. From the artisan markets to the dynamic live performances, we’re ensuring an unforgettable festive atmosphere for all our guests.” 

The event also includes late-night shopping until 8:30pm, giving visitors the opportunity to discover unique Christmas gifts, with retailers offering special festive deals.
