Sun shines on packed-out Trentham Live plus a wedding proposal!
Trentham Live festival organisers pulled out all the stops for their second annual event at the weekend in near perfect weather running from Thursday through to Sunday.
The capacity crowd enjoyed scores of top acts including McFly, Craig David, Steps, Scouting for Girls, Nathan Dawe, Louise Redknapp, Secret Symphony and Judge Jules.
Trentham Estate spokesman, Alastair Budd, reported “Over 17,000 people visited us for Trentham Live this weekend and we’re delighted with this turnout! Being able to deliver incredible acts to our local community and attract tourists from further afield for the last couple of years has been wonderful and provides a welcome boost to the local tourism economy! The event was a huge success and I’m very proud of the team who worked hard behind the scenes to make it happen and ensure everyone had a good time”.
Several of the top acts congratulated the organisers on the smooth running and stunning environment of their site.
A quote included “What a fantastic job you did, 4 nights of concerts, what a task. Friendly staff, very well organised. Everyone should get you to organise all their events. Another included “We had an absolute blast, I look forward to doing it all over again”.
Each of the performances over the 4 days engaged with their audiences from Judge Jules playing hit club classics on the opening night to Steps performing all their hits celebrating their 25th anniversary. Craig David and Nathan Dawe brought the house down on the Saturday night. Finishing off last night, with McFly inviting fan Tony onstage to join them for ‘Everybody Knows’ playing his guitar. The evening was then completed with a wedding proposal where McFly’s Tom Fletcher sent a video message to the happy couple Caroline Airey and Jack Fawcett.
