Autumn brings a whole new atmosphere to Trentham Gardens, with stunning seasonal colours and beautiful landscapes creating picture-perfect views across the estate.

Take a stroll around the mile-long lake, admire the changing colours reflected in the water or explore our woodland walks, where golden leaves carpet the paths.

There’s also plenty to discover in the Italian Gardens, where our ambitious Italian Gardens: The Next Chapter project continues. Working with renowned designer Tom Stuart-Smith, we’ve introduced 26,000 new perennials in Phase 2 this autumn, alongside thousands of bulbs that will bring great displays in the seasons ahead.

Visitors can also admire the progress of Phase 1, where ornamental grasses and perennials are already bringing wonderful texture, movement and seasonal colour.

Discover Autumn Wildlife and Highland Cows

Autumn is a wonderful time to discover Trentham’s wildlife. Keep an eye out for squirrels amongst the fallen leaves, birds around the lake and the many animals that call our gardens and woodlands home.

Our new Highland Cow Walking Tours have also proved incredibly popular, with both 18 and 21 November now completely sold out!

These special experiences offer visitors the opportunity to learn more about our Highland cows and their life here at Trentham.
