Shaun the Sheep returns to Trentham this autumn with Find the Flock Trail
12 supersized Shaun the Sheep sculptures will take over Trentham Gardens from Saturday 18 September – Sunday 1 November
In celebration of Aardman’s new Shaun the Sheep movie ‘The Beast of Mossy Bottom’, Trentham is delighted to be welcoming back Find the Flock, a vibrant outdoor art trail featuring 12 supersized Shaun the Sheep sculptures, this autumn.
Running from Saturday 18 September to Sunday 1 November, the family-friendly trail will invite visitors to explore Trentham Gardens while discovering a flock of uniquely designed Shaun the Sheep sculptures along the way.
The trail will also run throughout Trentham’s annual Halloween Half Term and Halloween Festival, adding even more family fun to one of the most exciting times of the year at the estate. Visitors can combine their search for Shaun with Trentham’s seasonal Halloween activities and celebrations, making it an ideal autumn day out for families.
Visitors can begin their Find the Flock adventure at the Trentham Visitor Centre, where free activity packs will be available to add an interactive element to the experience.
Created in collaboration with Wild in Art and Aardman, the creators of Shaun the Sheep, each impressive 160cm-tall sculpture has been individually hand-painted by local and regional artists. These sculptures showcase a diverse array of bright colours and bold patterns.
The return of Find the Flock comes during a landmark year for Aardman, which celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2026, marking five decades of creating much-loved characters and stories enjoyed by audiences around the world.

Kerrie Pope, Head of Events and Marketing at Trentham, said:
“We’re thrilled to bring the Find the Flock trail back to Trentham Gardens this autumn, particularly in such a special year as Aardman celebrates its 50th anniversary. With Shaun’s new big-screen adventure The Beast of Mossy Bottom coming to cinemas in September, it’s the perfect opportunity for visitors to enjoy all things Shaun alongside our seasonal Halloween theming and activities, including our annual Halloween Half Term and Halloween Festival.
“Find the Flock brings art and nature together to create a fun and interactive experience for families, art lovers and visitors of all ages. We can’t wait for everyone to come and discover these incredible sculptures throughout our stunning gardens.”
Charlie Langhorne, Managing Director and Co-founder, Wild in Art, said:
