The Original Miniature Railway
Our original railway ran from a station near to the Italian garden tearooms down the west side of the lake, over the icehouse and down to a Chalet style station which is now the Lakeside Café.
There were three petrol-driven engines, named Dunrobin, Brora and Golspie. Visitors who came to enjoy the swimming pool would hop on and hitch a ride down the side of the lake.
Some of the old trains were sent to Alton Towers for storage in 1988.
