The David Austin Rose Border

Rosa 'Ballerina'

This beautiful rose bears small, single flowers of soft blossom pink, with white centres and prominent golden stamens. They are produced throughout the summer and are held in close, many-flowered trusses, reminiscent of hydrangea heads. It forms a vigorous shrub with a rounded habit and attractive light green foliage.

Rose 'Mme Hardy'

Glistening white blooms, each with a green eye, held in nicely poised clusters. A strong Old Rose fragrance. Strong, bushy growth.

Rosa 'Olivia Rose Austin®' (Ausmixture)

Pretty buds open to beautiful, cupped rosettes of an even, mid pink colouring. They have a light to medium fruity fragrance. It commences flowering exceptionally early in the season and flowers in flushes until well into the autumn. It forms a very healthy, well-balanced shrub with dark green foliage, which shows off the flowers to the very best effect. Named after the daughter of David Austin Junior and granddaughter of David Austin Senior.

Rosa 'Queen of Denmark'

One of the finest of all the Old Roses. Pretty, cupped buds open to large, beautifully formed, quartered, slightly reflexing flowers, each with a central button eye. They are a soft glowing shade of pink, with a particularly strong and delicious Old Rose fragrance. It forms a vigorous shrub with thorny growth and attractive grey-green leaves.

Rosa 'Emma Bridgwater'

The Emma Bridgewater English shrub rose will make a lasting impact in any garden. Its medium-sized blooms look like an impressionist painting even in real life, offering a kaleidoscope of colours, at first pink with a yellow button eye, then brighter coral-pink tones softening to mauve and lilac.

Rosa 'Gentle Hermione®' (Ausrumba)

The perfectly formed, shallow cups are pure light pink, paling to soft blush on the outer petals. There is a strong, warm myrrh fragrance. It forms an attractive, quite broad shrub, with slightly arching stems. The leaves are tinged red at first, later turning green. Hermione is the faithful wife of Leontes, the King of Sicila, in Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale.

Rosa 'Harlow Carr' (Aushouse)

Bears flowers of the most perfect formation – shallow cups of the purest mid pink. They flower very freely from early summer until well into the autumn and have a strong, pure Old Rose fragrance. It has an excellent bushy habit with upright, vigorous growth. Maturing into an attractively rounded shrub; it flowers almost to the ground. Named after the Royal Horticultural Society’s garden in Yorkshire, to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the society’s formation.

Rosa 'The Lady's Blush®' (Ausoscar)

An extremely free-flowering variety, bearing rounded, semi-double cups of a pure mid pink. Each flower has a creamy white eye, often a white stripe and a fine cluster of golden yellow stamens. At the point of attachment to the stamens there is a prominent red ring. It forms an attractive, rounded, bushy plant. Named to commemorate the 125th anniversary of The Lady magazine.
