David Austin Rose Border Launch Day

Join us on Sunday 29 June 2025 at Trentham as we celebrate our new David Austin Rose Border. Designed and planted in partnership with David Austin Roses in November 2024, this summer marks its first flowering season. The border has been created to showcase the English Rose collection, with a focus on fragrance, flower shape, and size to create a unique sensory experience – while also ensuring the chosen cultivars are suited to our changing climate.

The day will include talks from a David Austin Roses expert and Trentham’s Head Gardener.

Timetable

10am – Trentham introduction, David Austin Roses fragrance and key species

11am – Breeding and history

12pm – Introduction to Trentham, it’s history and the Italian Garden project

1pm – Planting Demonstration

2pm – Fragrance and key species

3pm – Introduction to Trentham, it’s history and the Italian Garden project

4pm – Fragrance and key species

The Trentham Gardens Team will be at the Rose Border throughout the day to answer any questions.

David Austin Roses will be available to purchase from within the gardens, along with English tea themed lunch options available throughout the day.
