Trentham Halloween Festival FAQs

Tickets go on sale at 10am on Monday 14 September and can be purchased online or from the Visitor Centre.

We recommend booking in advance as the Halloween Festival is expected to be popular and tickets are subject to availability.

Members can enjoy Halloween Half Term in the Gardens during the daytime as part of their membership, between 8am and 4pm.

The evening Trentham Halloween Festival begins at 5pm and requires a separate ticket for all visitors, including members.

Enjoy a full day of family-friendly Halloween fun at Trentham Gardens, with seasonal entertainment, activities and plenty to explore.

Your daytime ticket includes:

• Pumpkin Corner – discover nine impressive pumpkin scenes created by professional pumpkin carvers. 4 will be created from 24 October and 6 more added on 28 October with live carving taking place on 28 October.
• Halloween Pantomime – enjoy a fun, family-friendly Halloween show with performances throughout the day.
• Live Seasonal Music – soak up the Halloween atmosphere with live entertainment on stage.
• The Makers Market – browse a fantastic selection of stalls from independent makers.
• Vintage Fairground Rides – add some extra thrills to your Halloween day out.
• Trentham Gardens – explore the lakeside walk, adventure playground, maze, barefoot walk and more.
• Shaun the Sheep Find the Flock Trail – see if you can discover all 12 supersized sculptures.
• Food & Drink – a selection of food, drinks and seasonal treats will be available to purchase.

As darkness falls, Trentham Gardens transforms for a family-friendly Halloween adventure after dark.

Your evening ticket includes:

• Pumpkin Corner after dark – explore the trail in a completely different atmosphere.
• K-pop Demon Hunters – catch special appearances between 7.30pm and 8.30pm.
• The Sanderson Sisters – expect Halloween magic, mischief and a spellbinding appearance.
• Fairground Rides – enjoy some extra Halloween thrills.
• Live Entertainment – performances will keep the Halloween atmosphere going throughout the evening.
• Walkaround Performers – keep an eye out for characters appearing around the Gardens.
• Shaun the Sheep Find the Flock Trail – see if you can discover all 12 supersized sculptures.
• Food & Drink – a selection of food, drinks and seasonal treats will be available to purchase.

Please arrive during the 30-minute arrival window shown on your ticket. Arriving during your allocated time helps us manage entry and ensures everyone has the best possible experience.

Last event entry is 1 hour prior.

Yes, dogs are welcome, but they must be kept on a short, fixed lead throughout the event. Extendable leads are not permitted due to reduced visibility and the number of visitors attending.

We recommend using a light or illuminated collar where possible to help keep your dog visible after dark.

Please be aware that dogs may not be permitted in some event areas. The event can also be busy, noisy and feature unusual lighting and performers, so please consider whether your dog will be comfortable in this environment.

No. The gardens will close at 4pm, with last daytime entry at 3pm.

The Halloween Festival then opens at 5pm for evening ticket holders. If you have visited during the day and also have an evening ticket, you’ll need to leave the gardens when they close and return during the arrival time shown on your evening ticket.

Why not use the break to explore Trentham Shopping Village and enjoy one of our shops, cafés or restaurants before heading back into the gardens?

Yes. Seating will be available in the Italian Gardens, Amphitheatre and Tearooms, where you can take a break and enjoy food and drink purchased during your visit.

Yes. Our usual toilet facilities near the Tearooms will be available, along with additional toilets close to the Pumpkin Corner.

Locations will be marked on the event map available during your visit.

Unfortunately, event and day-entry tickets are non-refundable, as outlined in Trentham’s Event Terms and Conditions.

Please check your chosen date and arrival time carefully before completing your booking.

Yes. Stoke-on-Trent is the nearest railway station, approximately four miles from Trentham. Stafford railway station is approximately 12 miles away.

Bus and taxi services are available from both stations, and bus services also operate from Hanley Bus Station and Stafford town centre.

We recommend checking your journey and return transport before travelling, particularly if you are attending the evening event.

Yes. The gardens are wheelchair accessible, with the main areas of the event connected by hardstanding gravel paths.

Yes. A range of food and drink will be available during the Festival, including options for different dietary requirements.

If you have a specific allergy or dietary requirement, please speak directly to the individual food vendor before ordering.

The Halloween Festival is an outdoor event and will go ahead in most weather conditions, including rain.

Please check the forecast before travelling and dress appropriately for the conditions.

The event will only be cancelled if weather conditions make it unsafe to proceed. Tickets will not be exchanged or refunded because of poor weather unless Trentham cancels the event.

Yes. The Halloween Festival is designed to be family-friendly rather than frightening.

However, the event includes walkaround and stilt performers, entertainment, crowds, lighting effects and other sights and sounds that some babies and young children may find overwhelming.

If your child is sensitive to noise, we recommend bringing ear defenders and giving performers plenty of space when needed.

Applications for market stalls are managed directly by The Makers Market.

We are not currently accepting applications from additional catering or bar providers.

The Festival features lighting effects in several areas of the gardens.

If you or someone in your party has photosensitive epilepsy, sensory requirements or another accessibility concern relating to lighting, please contact the Events Team at event@trentham.co.uk before booking so we can provide further information.

Yes. There is a Premier Inn at Trentham, and a range of other accommodation is available in Stoke-on-Trent and the surrounding area.

Please note that camping and overnight stays are not permitted anywhere on the Trentham Estate or in our car parks.
