Trentham Garden’s Rainy Day Return Discount Offer

Effective from 10 June 2025.

1. Introduction

At Trentham Gardens which is owned and operated by Trentham Leisure Limited (referred to in these terms as “we,” “us,” “our”), we understand that wet weather can sometimes dampen your experience. That’s why we offer a special rainy day return discount to visitors that have purchased Day Tickets and/or Early Bird Tickets only to end up visiting on a day that turned into a bit of a wash out. To work out whether you are entitled to a rainy day return discount on your next visit please read these terms carefully.

2. How to find the Garden

Trentham Gardens (referred to in these terms as the “Garden”) is located at Stone Road, Trentham, ST4 8JG. For further details or travel inquiries, please refer to our website and/or contact us through our Contact Us page.

3. Terms and conditions

Entry to the Garden using our rainy day return discount offer is subject to both the terms of that offer (as set out here) and the Trentham Gardens General Terms and Conditions for: Day Tickets, Early Bird Tickets and Event Tickets.

Please read both sets of terms carefully before proceeding to use our rainy day return discount offer and/or enter the Garden. If you do not agree with any part of these terms or the general terms referenced, please refrain from using this rainy day return discount offer and/or entering the Garden.

Please note that in the event of any conflict between these terms and the general terms referenced, our general terms will prevail.

Please also note that our general terms explain what we mean by Day Tickets and Early Bird Tickets.

4. What is a “rainy day”?

We will decide whether the day on which you originally visited us using a Day Ticket or an Early Bird Tickets was a rainy day entitling you to use our rainy day discount offer.

As a guide, we consider a rainy day to be one on which there was 2 hours of significant, heavy and continued rainfall between 10am and 3pm.

We will list the dates which we consider to be rainy days on our website. You can also ask our staff to confirm these dates by visiting our visitor centre.

5. When can you use our rainy day return discount offer?

If you purchased a Day Ticket or Early Bird Ticket from us via our visitor centre or via our website and used that ticket to enter the Garden on a day which we have deemed to be a “rainy day”, you will be entitled receive a discount on the price of a Day Ticket purchased from our visitor centre for a return visit to the Garden provided that:

  1. the date of your return visit is within 60 days of the date of your original visit using your previous Day Ticket or Early Bird Ticket; and
    1. you are able to prove (a) above by providing us with a copy of your original Day Ticket or Early Bird Ticket so that we can confirm it was used on a “rainy day”.

Please see section 7 below for details regarding how your discount will be calculated.

You will not be able to use your original Day Ticket or Early Bird Ticket to obtain a discount for more than one return visit as you can only use this offer once.

6. Exclusions

This policy cannot be used:

  1. to visit the Garden on days where we are holding specific events or activities or on dates where the Garden has been booked for a private event. Please check our website before you travel for details of any special events or activities that are scheduled and/or details of whether the Garden will be closed due to a private booking before you travel.
  2. in conjunction with any other promotion, discount or offer e.g. our Blue Peter Badge Offer or our RHS Offer;
  3. on bank holidays; if the original visit was part of a group booking including school trips, RHS, and/or other 3rd party partner group bookings (If you are unsure whether this applies please do contact us through our Contact Us page on our website or by speaking to staff at our visitor centre.) or
  4. if you have already used your receipt for your original Day Ticket or Early Bird Ticket to revisit us using the rainy day return discount offer.

7. Discount calculation and redemption

If you are eligible to use this rainy day return discount offer, you will only be able to claim a discount which is equivalent to 50% of the price that your paid for the original booking and which is calculated against the same number of guests and same type (e.g. adult/child/student) of Day Tickets and/or Early Bird Tickets that your purchased and used when you visited us on a rainy day.

Please note that you can only claim a discount for up to the same number of Day Tickets or Early Bird Tickets that you purchased for your original visit and for purchases of the same types of tickets. This means that you cannot, for example, claim a 50% discount on two adult Day Tickets if on your original visit you purchased one adult Day Ticket and one child Day Ticket.

Ticket prices are displayed at our visitor centre and are also available on our website. Please do check the current price before purchasing your tickets. Likewise, please do check at our visitor centre or by contacting us via our website if you are unsure about the discount which you might be entitled to as a result of this rainy day return discount offer.

8. Non-Transferable

This rainy day return discount offer is non-transferable and must be used by the original ticket purchaser only. It expires when the 60 day period referred to in section 5 above has expired.

9. Changes to this offer

We reserve the right to update and amend the terms of this rainy day return discount offer at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website. It is your responsibility to check the website to review the latest terms that apply to our rainy day discount offer before using this offer. Any changes to the rainy day return discount offer terms will not affect orders that have already been confirmed.

10. Discount on Membership Upgrades

We offer various memberships to the Garden as well as discounts on the price of those memberships if visitors choose to purchase them after visiting the Garden using a Day Ticket. Please review our membership terms carefully before proceeding with upgrading a Day Ticket to a membership and/or purchasing a membership in any way.

You may be entitled to a discount on a membership to the Garden if you:

  1. attended the Garden using a Day Ticket (and regardless of whether it was a rainy day);
  2. purchase your membership within 7 days of your visit; and
  3. c. are able to prove (b) above by providing us with a copy of your Day Ticket.

If you are eligible to a discount on a membership after visiting us on a using a Day Ticket, , that discount will be equivalent to the price that you paid to purchase your Day Ticket unless you have already used your original Day Ticket to purchase a further Day Ticket using our rainy day return discount offer, in which case it will be equivalent to the reduced price that you paid to purchase your second Day Ticket.

This offer can only be claimed by customers who purchase a membership upgrade at our visitors’ centre. It cannot be used for online purchases.

12. Governing Law

Please note that these terms and any disputes in relation to them or our rainy day return discount offer will be subject to and governed by English law.
