Service Team Operative

The Purpose

To deliver the operational hard and soft facilities and maintenance services which include cleaning and waste management throughout retail and across the wider estate.

Required Experience

  • Operational experience of Waste and/or cleaning operations in a multi-use environment.
  • Outstanding attention to detail, ensuring all areas are always at their highest presentation.
  • Experienced in providing exceptional customer experience
  • Be an absolute team player
  • Act in a consistent, confident, and professional manner, hardworking and passionate about all tasks required from them.
  • Good IT skills including a working knowledge of Excel and Word.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and be able to work on your own initiative largely unsupervised.
  • Capable of problem solving and ability to resolve operational issues quickly and effectively.
  • Able to think outside the box and share new ideas.
  • Good time keeping and flexibility to work when required.

Key Accountabilities and Duties

  • To ensure all bins are emptied regularly across the estate.
  • Ensure that all tenant waste bins are effectively used and put out ready for relevant collections.
  • Ensure that the site, buildings, roads & pathways, play areas, signs etc. are clean, tidy and safe.
  • Periodic checks are carried out and any issues correctly reported for all toilet areas within retail and gardens.
  • Ensure all statutory compliance activity is completed and suitably recorded.
  • Provide Health and Safety support and ensuring the site is compliant with latest health and safety legislation.
  • Support the Service team with ongoing projects as needed on both retail and wider estate.
  • Support the Events team in providing operational support when required.
  • Maintain and deliver a programme of deep cleaning works across retail – this to include pathways, signage and facilities, bin areas and internal spaces such as gardens entrance & toilets.
  • Support the management of site wastage streams, monitor, and record recycling figures.
  • Support the drive towards a sustainable operation and net carbon zero goals.
  • Maintain knowledge and adhere to relevant Group Policies and Procedures, Legislation and Regulations
  • Develop and ensure safe working practices are always adhered to.

Qualifications/Training Required

No specific qualifications required as full training given.

Required to cover weekends and peak periods plus holidays.

Permanent and part time (up to 20 hours).
