The David Austin Rose Border

Rosa 'Gabriel Oak'® (Auscrowd)

A magnificent variety, bearing large, many petalled rosette blooms. They are a striking shade of deep pink, the outer petals of each bloom paling slightly over time. The beauty of the blooms is enhanced by a wonderful, strong fruity fragrance. A vigorous rose; it forms a very shapely, broad, rounded shrub with mulberry purple stems and dark green foliage, giving the overall impression of richness and abundance. Named after the beloved character in Thomas Hardy’s novel, Far from the Madding Crowd.

Rosa 'Celsiana'

Small clusters of large, open, semi-double flowers of a lovely pale pink colouring, with golden stamens. A graceful shrub with grey-green foliage. Delicious Old Rose fragrance.

Rosa 'Morning Mist' (Ausfire)

A striking variety with large, truly single flowers, which are a strong shade of coral-pink. They each have a large boss of yellow stamens with red anthers. It is one of the largest English Roses, forming a big, bushy shrub. Although repeat flowering, it also bears a superb crop of large orange hips through the winter.

Rosa 'Queen of Sweden'® (Austiger)

Exquisite little buds open to half-enclosed cups, eventually becoming wide, shallow,  upward-facing cups of pleasing formality. The colour begins as soft-apricot pink, gradually changing to pure soft pink over time. There is a lovely myrrh fragrance. It forms a bushy, yet upright shrub. Named to commemorate the Treaty of Friendship and Commerce between Sweden and Great Britain.

Rosa 'Snowdon'

Medium-sized, fully double, rosette-like flowers of purest white. Produces a good first crop, with intermittent blooms throughout the summer. It forms a dense, leafy, shapely shrub.

Scarborough Fair® (Ausoran)

Despite giving the impression of utmost delicacy, this is a very tough, healthy and reliable variety. Extremely floriferous; its soft pink, semi-double flowers are held in large sprays and have a musky Old Rose scent. It forms a bushy, rather upright shrub.
