The Fratellis to headline Thursday night at Trentham Live 2026
The Subways join the line up as support on 20 August
Trentham is delighted to announce that The Fratellis will headline the Thursday night of Trentham Live 2026, taking place from Thursday 20 August to Sunday 23 August in the iconic setting of Trentham Gardens.
The Fratellis are a Scottish rock band from Glasgow, formed in 2005 and made up of lead vocalist and guitarist Jon Fratelli, bassist Barry Fratelli, and drummer Mince Fratelli, with live support from keyboardist Will Foster. They quickly built a reputation playing local gigs before releasing their debut EP and then their breakthrough album Costello Music in 2006, which reached number two on the UK Albums Chart and spawned hits like “Chelsea Dagger” and “Whistle for the Choir,” helping them win the 2007 BRIT Award for Best British Breakthrough Act. Known for their energetic indie-rock sound and memorable melodies, the band has continued to release music, tour internationally, and evolve their style across multiple albums while maintaining a strong fan following.
Joining the line up is The Subways – who bring together the hard guitars and attitude of punk, the ear-catching melodies and choruses of pop, and the pomp and swagger of Brit-pop. The Subways started as teenage upstarts on the UK music scene and matured into a more polished and experienced group without sacrificing their outgoing personality.
This year, The Subways are celebrating 20 years in fine fashion with the release of their best of compilation album “When I’m With You” featuring 24 singles & fan favourites alongside a 30-date, many sold out, full European tour. The album also features the brand new single “I Need To Feel You Closer” which ‘pulls no punches without sacrificing the kind of killer hook that The Subways are renowned for’ (Music News). The compilation and tour highlights all they have achieved to-date while also signaling that there is still much, much more to come!
The band have now played 1000+ shows across 40 countries, released 5 studio albums and remain one of the most exciting live bands on the current touring circuit, thrilling crowds with their explosive rock sound and wild stage performances.

Tickets for The Fratellis at Trentham Live go on general sale from 10.00am on Friday 19 December through Ticketmaster.
Pre-sale tickets for Trentham members will be available from Friday 19 December at 9.00am.
