Madness to headline Friday night at Trentham Live 2026
The pop legends will bring the ultimate House of Fun to Trentham on 21 August, with support from The Coral.
Trentham Live 2026 is set for a spectacular Friday night on 21 August, as British pop icons Madness are confirmed to headline the much-loved summer concert series at Trentham.
Taking place from Thursday 20 August to Sunday 23 August 2026, Trentham Live will once again bring a packed programme of live shows to the stunning setting of Trentham Gardens, one of the Midlands’ most iconic outdoor venues.
Formed in North London, Madness have grown into one of Britain’s most successful and best-loved bands, selling millions of records worldwide and inspiring generations of artists. More than four decades on, their music, spirit, and style are woven into the fabric of British culture. The band, which became a British institution and soundtracked a nation, returned last year with a new album, Hit Parade, a journey through the band’s greatest hits.
Over more than four decades, Madness have remained a uniquely British institution: mischievous, melodic, and timeless. Their music continues to resonate across generations, proving that the spirit of the Nutty Boys is very much alive.
Joining Madness on the bill are The Coral, renowned for their sixties-influenced blend of Merseybeat, psych-folk, indie pop and garage rock. Bursting onto the scene in the early 2000s, the Wirral six-piece quickly distinguished themselves with James Skelly’s unmistakable vocals and their unique ability to weave together an eclectic mix of genres.
Kerrie Pope, Head of Events and Marketing at Trentham, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to welcome Madness to headline the Friday night of Trentham Live 2026. They’re a band that brings people together across generations, and their catalogue is packed with songs everyone knows and loves. We can’t wait to see Trentham full of fans singing along to every word.”
