Local artists MFK, Average Joe and Stuart Ojelay announced as part of the final line-up for At Trentham taking place between Thursday 29 May and Saturday 31 May 2025!

Trentham are delighted to be supporting local artists MFK, Average Joe and Stuart Ojelay who have been announced to perform at this month’s At Trentham event taking place on Thursday 29 May, Friday 30 May and Saturday 31 May, set in their stunning unique lakeside setting.

MFK will kick off the weekend supporting The Wombats, who are also joined by supports Pale Waves and Red Rum Club on Thursday 29 May. Average Joe will open the evening for Ocean Colour Scene, who are also supported by The Enemy and The Clause on Friday 30th May, and Stuart Ojelay will be warming up the audience on Saturday 31 May, supporting triple headliners Jax Jones, The House & Garage Orchestra and Nathan Dawe.

The event will raise money for local music venues.

As part of the series, with its focus on celebrating Stoke-on-Trent, organisers have teamed up with Music Venue Trust with an aim to raise funds to support local grassroots venues in the city, by encouraging customers to contribute to the Livelive Fund.

Livelive Funding directly benefits local Grassroots Music Venues in Stoke, through a localised donation, this means that the funds raised will be invested directly back into the community in this area.

Music Venue Trust recognises the brilliant Grassroots Music Venues in this city, including the likes of The Underground, The Sugarmill and Artisan Tap, who are tirelessly working to ensure that their local community has access to live events in their area.

Kerrie Pope, Head of Events and Marketing at Trentham said “None of the artists we’re lucky to have playing this event would be where they are today without Grassroots Venues. The quality of performance we see from headliner acts comes from hard years of hard-work, playing up and down the country in all different kinds of clubs, bars and venues that have Live Music. We are thrilled to be able to offer this opportunity to raise funds that will stay here in Stoke, whilst celebrating the city’s centenary here at Trentham!”

MFK – Perform on Thursday 29 May supporting The Wombats.

MFK’s bulldozing live shows have built up a fervent following in their native North West.  Little wonder when they sound like The Clash playing the fever dreams of Bootsy Collins and Robert Smith.

That fusion of garage punk delivery and streetwise funk offers the ideal antidote to the hordes of esoteric electronica and speaky-singy indie acts.

2025 feels like a turning point for guitar music, and MFK are riding the change.

Average Joe – Perform on Friday 30 May supporting Ocean Colour Scene.

Born on the proud streets of Stoke-on-Trent, Average Joe sings like a man with one foot in the gutter and one hand reaching for the stars. His songs are battered anthems—part rock-and-roll, part soul confession, part ancient hymn—telling stories of lost loves, drunken hearts, and the long fight to carry that fading old torch of authenticity. Joe carries the everyman’s fight in every note—purveyor of rough hymns for those who take their hits and keep on walking.

Stuart Ojelay – Perform on Saturday 31 May supporting Jax Jones, Nathan Dawe & The House & Garage Band.

Stuart has been an active part of the House scene for more than 10 years and after performing in every continent in the world, he’s a firm fixture on the Hed Kandi Global roster.

He has rocked the crowd in places such as Vancouver, Cape Town, Macau, Dubai and Uruguay as well as displaying his skills in front of 3000 people on NYE at Pacha, Florianopolis Brazil. His skilled precise mixing of Soulful Warm Ups, Sumptuous Disco House to Main Room Anthems, combined with his effervescent style never fails to serve up hands in the air action.”
